Went to the opening reception of the Damien Hirst “End of an Era” show at the Gagosian Gallery. I have to say, I’m a bigger fan of his older work. Not to say 30,000 manufactured diamonds displayed in a gold case, is not impressive… it was. But I was distracted by some of the characters that showed up the the opening… not sure which was more entertaining, the people or the art itself.

The Outsider Art Fair will run February 5 – 7, 2010 at 7 West 34th Street. Hours are: Friday, 11am – 8pm, Saturday, 11am – 7pm; and Sunday, 11am – 6pm. Admissionis $20 daily and $30 for a two-day pass; both include a catalog. With almost 40 exhibitors fromthe U.S. and abroad.

better late then never. still not crazy with the banner… really i just put it up, so there was something originally. never got around to changing it. i guess that will be next.
you would think that i like barbies or have an obsession with them from my posts. i don’t. i just find some of these things fascinating… and all i can think of is ice truck killer….
